Which is the engagement ring in a bridal set? The band or the stone bearing ring?
Also, do you present the bridal set when proposing, or just the engagment ring?
This may seem common knowledge to some, but honestly, I am lost on such things and would rather not goof up whenever I make such a commitment.
Isn't that how a bridal set works? The engagement ring and the wedding ring in one matching set?
Thanks, Helen. I saw a set in a pawn shop the other day and got to thinking about how the set would work. Of course, I only thought about it when I was away from the pawn shop and my mind was wandering.
the stone is the engagement ring. I'd present just the stone to her....and then later you can tell her it's a set.
Either that, or if they're both in a box together, just open the box with both of them in it. (I only suggest presenting just the stone because I know my (now)husband hid the ring in his pocket without the box...it'd be weird if you gave her two rings in that way).

EDIT: A bridal set should include both the ring with the stone (the engagement ring) and a plain band that matches the engagement ring. If they're a "Set" they can be worn seperate, but can be worn together. So, after you get married she can wear both rings at the same time...on the same finger.
