Is it true that if you put a glow stick in the freezer, it'll glow longer?
I have two glow sticks in the freezer right now. What about batteries, does this apply to them too?
The cold would reduce the rate of chemical reaction, so even the stick logs longer, it would glow dimmer.
Batteries would me largely unaffected, if they are only stored, as very little chemical reaction is to occur when the battery is not used (there would be some mild oxidation, so keeping batteries in the cold to keep them fresh longer may work, within limits). But you will not get more power out of them.
