I just got a bridal set and need to know how much it is worth! Can somebody please help me? info is listed below
This is a beautiful, round, 1/4 carat diamond solitaire in prong set, in shining 10kt white gold. Matching diamond band, 10kt white gold round channel setting.
Total Carat Weight: 1/2 tcw
Clarity: I3
Color: I-J Metal
Type: 10K White Gold
Why not take it to a jeweler and ask since "we" would not be able to tell you the cost since we don't know all about the clarity number, etc. and these days gold "could be" a few dollars more, however if it was purchased at a mall then the cost could have skyrocketed (but the worth may not have), but if bought at someplace like Best Buy then you get what you pay for. I always chose 14k gold because it didn't bend or break, and 14k is the standard (10k has lesser gold in it). I'm still trying to figure out hou you "just got a bridal set", like, did you just get married, did your husband say where he bought it?
Here's what you do...first call a good jeweler in town and ask them if they give appraisals for insurance purposes. More than likely they will say yes and will give you the cost for their services. If you purchased them and have the receipt be sure to take that to the jeweler. Otherwise advise them you don't know the cost and they will give you an appraisal with a form and their signature. Give a copy of that to your home insurance person/agent and they will add that to your home insurance as an addendum. .
