Light Colors For Winter Weddings
White, that is the winter color and should be the color that comes to mind when you think of weddings. Yet there is no rule that a winter celebration has to be decorated in deep or holiday-inspired shades. In fact, it can be unexpectedly beautiful to choose lighter colors for a winter wedding. Here is how to include light colors of winter into your wedding in a fashionable way.
Soft neutrals can be gorgeous for winter, and are a nice break from the dark colors we tend to see. Give it a moment of thought on how elegant a winter white wool sweater would look in a sea of black and brown. It is true for a wedding as well. A classic, elegant look for a winter ceremony and reception would be an ivory and champagne color palette. Choosing rich materials is the key to giving it a wintery feel. An Ivory Silk velvet Wedding Gown with champagne colored Swarovski pearl earrings would be stunning for the bride. Champagne satin dresses would be beautifully complemented by a large twist bow at the waist to give it an elegant detail. Dress the reception tables in luxe ivory damask tablecloths with champagne organza napkins.
